Skiing in summer? Maiskogel Family Mountain makes it possible.
If you don't want to go snow-skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn during the summer months, Kaprun is actually one of the first places in Salzburger Land where you have the opportunity to try your hand at grass skiing.
In the same place where alpine skiers slice through the snow in wintertime, in summer it's the grass skiers whom you'll see "carving" down the green hillsides.
To get you started, the ski school will supply you with all the equipment you need:
- skis that are about 85 cm long and don't look much like the alpine skis you are used to seeing
- ski boots, poles, helmets
- elbow- and knee guards
Please note that long pants are mandatory if you wish to participate in this sport.
